watching: NEW GIRL. We can't get enough of this show. Jess Day (Zooey Dechanel) is so weirdly hilarious we cant help but audibly laugh for the shows entirety. As much as we love Jess (so much we've all considering getting bangs), Schmidt is hands down the house fav. Where do they think of some of the things he says?! It's such a shame that its only 24 minutes a week and we mourn the day this show ends (or becomes Glee status lame).listening:Call me Maybe- Carly Ray Jepsen. No one can deny that this jam will make your head least make your head bob. Or in our case, make us break out into dance and try and make photobooth music videos like JB himself.
tasting: nutella (duh, whats new?) and pancakes made by @skbraucher herself. Pancakes for breakfast. Pancakes for lunch. Pancakes for dinner. We don't cur.

long time no see..

Due to lack of initiative on the behalf of some other roomies, we have been a little behind on our blog posts during the most "blog worthy" season- the holidays!! And these holidays were full of many note worthy events. I'll start at the beginning...

We went all out with Christmas decorations and even got a real tree!!Once our house was so nicely decorated, we decided we must have a party to show it off!

During the same weekend we had the great photographer, Ali Christianson, take pictures of us for out Christmas card!!Oh yeah! During all the craziness of the Christmas, finals were going on..

A few other random events from this season...Our friends over at the Lubshack got a puppy!! LINUS!!

We discovered the Ft. Worth food park! Lots of different food trucks come from all over the city to this empty lot full of picnic benches to serve their delicacies (grilled cheese, burgers, tacos, cupcakes). It's one of our new favorite Ft. Worth places.


After finals were over, we parted ways and returned to our perspective parts of the country. This was when its happened. TREVOR CHRISTIANSON LIKED IT SO HE PUT A RING ON IT!!
That's right, Brooke is ENGAGED!! I think I'll leave this blog post on that note. The 2012 holiday season is one for the books. We are now experiencing what some call "syllabus week." Aka no homework for the first week of school. So as of now, life is good in 3232 where we have spent the last 2 nights laughing and catching up and talking wedding. (are we really old enough for this??) And when I say "we", I really mean Brooke, Maddie, Sara Katherine and me because one of our vital pieces is missing. Darcie is on a big adventure in Seville, Spain for the semester. Our house feels a little empty without her...

Soak It Up

Looked at my planner this morning and realized the date. November 16th means that in exactly one month, finals will be over & it'll be time for me to move out of 3232.

Wait, what?! That is sobering.

It's going to be a month full of soaking up this valuable time with the roommates I love before I bypass TCU for a semester and head to Spain. November 16th is bittersweet!

daily shambles

Every time I walk in this house it smells different. The roomies looovvvee their candles and go through at least 1 a week. Well, today when I walked in the door I was hit with a new smell. A bad smell. bad. bad. bad. After I got over this trauma caused by almost passing out from STINK, Sara Katherine informed me that she happened to have all the ingredients needed for this homemade stovetop potpourri. (totalskmove)

Well either I have become immune to the smell or the potpourri did work. Either way- Brooke is never allowed to cook swordfish again.

Riff Ram

This past weekend was a TCU football game, thus it was full of purple.  Just look at Dru's attire... die hard fan she is!

The best part was that it was at the one and only COWBOYS STADIUM!  Check out that enormous screen!!! 

Pretty legit. 

It was a fun weekend filled with good friends and LOTS of good people watching!
